Snagged a sunny treasury tonight. Trying to beat the heat by holding very still! I've been photographing a lot of student work this year, so I'm thinking I may post some of it so you can see what my kiddies have been up to in the art room. If you are a craft junkie like me, and you have all these supplies just lying around the house, you are welcome to try some of them. So, stay tuned!
I will be selling my wares at a small event at Saint James United Methodist Church this Saturday, May 9th, the Spring Fling. There will be plants, baked goods made by the church ladies (mm!), a yard sale, as well as some other crafts including jewelry, pottery, painted slates, and greeting cards. There will also be a children's area with face painting. I will be inside the fellowship hall across from the food! The event runs from 9 am 'til 2 pm, rain or shine. Find Saint James here on Google Maps. Please bring your checkbooks if you aren't carrying cash! I don't usually have time to do shows so I have no method accepting credit card payment.

This week, my Golden shout out goes to HiTree. A textile artist with a hippie soul, this lady makes adorable tree-themed items from simple felt! I recently bought a pair of oak leaf earrings from her that are just delightful. She makes impeccable soft sculpture trees, pins, and bags, with a little bit of other nature-themes thrown in. Her work is layered, yet cleanly modern and very sweet.
